This makes the system the largest PV installation in the province of Gelderland – a major step forward for the sustainable use of natural resources.(more…)

Even quicker and simpler: The new IBC solar power calculator makes planning more efficient

IBC-Solarstromrechner-ModulbelegungWe have given our tried-and-tested IBC solar power calculator an extensive update just in time for Intersolar 2016 which now makes planning new solar energy systems even simpler and more efficient. You can now select your own roof through a satellite map view in order to use the roof surface data for a more precise initial calculation. This new improved version makes it possible to interact with the roof surface: The surface can be marked in a user-friendly manner and modules can be selected or – for example with windows – excluded. The precise angular alignment of the surface can now be included in the performance description. The new simple and user-friendly user interface shows the savings potential as well as performance and power consumption calculations in clear graphics with detailed profiles. (more…)

Over the rooftops of Windhoek: Hospital in Namibia reduces energy costs through the use of solar power

Mediclinic-Hospital-Source-SolsquareSolar energy systems are extremely attractive for companies in Southern Africa. PV systems for self-consumption provide protection against the instability of the local power supply and help to save costs and the hospital operator Mediclinic International is leading the way. Our Premium Partner Solsquare Energy (Pty) Ltd. has planned and installed a PV roof system for the South African private hospital group. The PV installation for self-consumption in Windhoek (Namibia) was connected to the grid in December 2015 with a total peak output of 88 kWp and covers the majority of the hospital’s energy requirement. This enables Mediclinic to save around 8,000 euros each year.(more… )
