A solar-powered butterfly on a world tour

This week we had a very special project as our guest in Bad Staffelstein: The SolarButterfly, a solar-powered Tiny House with fold-out “butterfly wings”, stopped by on its world tour. Its mission is to promote more climate protection and the use of renewable energies worldwide. In order to inspire the younger generation in particular to find solutions to climate change, the SolarButterfly introduced itself to 200 schoolchildren, who were able to complete a knowledge course. Investment in a sustainable future

Today we are introducing a way for local citizens to participate in our solar parks. For this purpose, we have launched our own digital platform. Interested citizens can use this platform to find out about current projects and their conditions and to participate directly. Investment with smaller amounts is also possible. This ensures that everyone can play an active role in shaping the energy transition. (more…)

More efficient and sustainable homes thanks to PV

© GreenNet

Unlike other countries, where residential self-consumption has been undergoing significant development for years, Spain was practically untouched until RD244/2019 came into force. Since then, and after a slow but continued adaptation on the part of all the agents involved, the residential market has been immersed in exponential growth since the end of 2019 to the present day. Spain has great potential and positive prospects thanks to the high availability of homes suitable for photovoltaic installations. In this regard, IBC SOLAR continues to actively contributing to energy change by supporting the creation of more efficient and sustainable homes. (more…)

An innovative PV project in Poland

496 photovoltaic panels, a capacity of 164 kWp and four 17-story buildings in Poznan, the capital of Wielkopolska region. These were the specifications of the latest solar project of IBC SOLAR in Poland. Together with one of our Premium Partners, a complex PV installation was installed on the roofs of four 17-story buildings of the Poznan Housing Cooperative Winogrady. Another positive step for solar energy in Poland. (more…)

And the award goes to…

Every sector and industry relies on research and innovation to develop and succeed. This also applies to the PV sector, especially in times of energy transition, CO2 reduction and with plans for abandoning fossil fuels. For this reason, IBC SOLAR together with various other organisations, regularly supports students with their innovative ideas as a team partner in research and/or financially. This time, the team supported Bernd Doll, FAU PhD student from FAU in Erlangen-Nürnberg and presenter of the current iPV4.0 projects. With his contribution “contactless outdoor photoluminescence of silicon photovoltaic modules with large area excitation source”, the talented student has won one of the Student Awards at the “EU PVSEC 2020” – something that he can be very proud of – which of course we are!
