Mounting highlights at the Intersolar

The trade fair Intersolar 2024 is just around the corner. Therefore it’s time to take a closer look at our highlights in the area of in-house mounting systems. We will be presenting new products and adaptations for both the IBC AeroFix G3 flat roof system and the IBC TopFix 200 pitched roof system. We also provide an outlook on future developments and new systems.(more…)

Better testing – Endurance tests live at Intersolar 2023

SUNLAB Load Table

We have already reported on our upcoming trade fair appearance at Intersolar 2023. However, there is one highlight that we have not yet discussed in detail: The SUNLAB load table will demonstrate live at the trade fair stand three times a day how our in-house modules and mounting systems are subjected to endurance tests and have to prove their quality.  (more…)

PV flat roof systems in the wind tunnel test

Before mounting systems are allowed to be installed, they must comply with corresponding standards, including EN 1991-1-4. Beside all the specifications regarding statics, materials, etc., this standard, including the national annex, contains specific information about wind loads to which PV systems and their mounting systems on roofs are exposed. In times of increasingly strong storms and even hurricanes this is indispensable for safety and must be included in the development. That is why the solar industry relies on so-called wind tunnel tests to keep the ballast of roof-penetration-free flat roof systems as low as necessary. In this blog entry, we explain how these tests are structured and what needs to be taken into account. (more…)

Supplier portrait: Enphase – Microinverters for the small difference on the roof

Unlike classic PV systems, in a microinverter system each solar module gets its own inverter. And it is installed directly on the roof under the module. On the one hand, this creates space in the house connection room, and on the other hand, shading on the roof is compensated for in the best possible way. A great technology for the homeowner. Our new partner Enphase is one of the leading suppliers of this microinverter technology. The company is one of the few to produce fully integrated solar energy and storage solutions and has already shipped more than 34 million microinverters. Reason enough for us to take a look at the success story of the American manufacturer. (more…)
