New module formats and packaging challenges in distribution

The global photovoltaic market has grown considerably in recent years. In concrete terms, this can already be seen in the preliminary product, the silicon wafer. Here, the expansion of production capacities in 2021 increased by an impressive 64 %. It is also evident that the supply is more diversified. Good profit margins have brought new market participants and driven both small and large companies to expand. Our module partners LONGI SOLAR at No. 1 and JINKO SOLAR at No. 3 among the world’s largest wafer manufacturers, together with Zhonghuan (No. 2) dominate global wafer capacity with more than 80%. Vertically integrated module manufacturers have also significantly increased their internal supply capacities. Thus, another 134 gigawatts of capacity could likely be added in 2022. (more…)

This was GENERA 2021, the international energy and environment fair in Spain

Finally, it was the time again: The most important energy and environmental fair in Spain, the GENERA, took place in November. For us, this was a highlight of 2021, because of course we from IBC SOLAR were again represented with our own booth at the IFEMA exhibition center in Madrid and looked forward to personally welcoming our partners. IBC SOLAR at Genera Solar 2020

Renewable energies in Spain, especially with regards to the solar market are booming. This became clear during the visit to Genera Solar 2020, Spain’s largest energy and environmental fair in Madrid. IBC SOLAR also participated and presented the wide range of its services and product portfolio, from modules and mounting systems to inverters. Growth in Sweden – our franchise partner IBC SOLAR AB expands to Gothenburg

“We’ve come to make solar energy an important renewable and local energy source.” This is what IBC SOLAR AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden, who recently launched this year believes. They are the first franchisee of IBC SOLAR and supply  smaller installation companies with components for solar systems in the residential and small commercial rooftop segment.(more…)

New major project in Turkey connected to the grid

1.1 MWp in province of Eskişehir

We reported on the busy weeks of our Turkish regional company IBC SOLAR Turkey last summer. This included five major projects being implemented simultaneously. The first projects have now been connected to the grid; including a 1.1 MWp project in the province of Eskişehir. We are expecting a PV expansion of between 1 and 1.5 GW for the entire Turkish market in 2017 – despite the bureaucratic hurdles for project development. (mehr…)
