Cooling with solar power: IBC SOLAR supplies PV system for the largest freezer in Norway

WP_20160418_11_33_02_ProCold stores require a great deal of energy – mainly when the sun is shining and it is warm outside. The leading Norwegian food logistics provider ASKO has Installed a PV system on the roof of a cold store in Vestby. The system was implemented by Solenergi FUSen AS, the Norwegian Premium Partner of IBC SOLAR. It enhances a current system which was put into operation on the roof of an ASKO dry fuel storage facility in 2014.  The entire system has a capacity of 1 megawatt peak (MWp), producing around 550 MWh of solar power each year which the company will use entirely for its own consumption.(more…)

Exemplary sustainability: the Dutch company Plospan leads the way

Plospan-NL-2016The Dutch company Plospan has become a pioneer in environment protection: the company which focuses on sustainability has been producing its own solar power since 3 June. The PV system is in the province of Gelderland and, with 9,240 modules and 2.4 megawatts, is the world’s largest roof system supplied by IBC SOLAR that is used for self-consumption. This makes the system the largest PV installation in the province of Gelderland – a major step forward for the sustainable use of natural resources.(more…)
