The solution when the power grid goes on strike

Just under 11 minutes – 10.73 minutes to be precise – and thus 1.47 minutes less than in the same period of the previous year, we experienced supply interruptions in the power grid in Germany in 2020. This means that the outage time was lower than ever before. Still, for some, the power may go out in the most crucial minutes of the year. And the 10.73 minutes are, of course, only an average. Depending on the situation, it was significantly longer. But what can you do if the power is suddenly gone? The answer is PV and storage, connected via a so-called grid switch box or backup box. Current challenges of global sea freight

Global sea freight is the most important mode of transport for world trade. In terms of weight, for example, around 90 percent of goods transported across borders today are handled by sea. This is hardly surprising, as the advantages are clear due to the high level of economy and security. However, the success of sea freight is also dependent on many factors. At the same time, the industry is currently facing enormous challenges that are leaving their mark worldwide, leading to high transport costs and, unfortunately, also to delays. (more…)

Modules in all directions

The installation of PV modules exclusively on roofs is old news. Nowadays, photovoltaics can also be used on house facades. IBC SOLAR partner my-PV recently showed how this can look visually with its new company building in Neuzeug, Austria. Wherever you look, you will see PV. The modules were provided from none other than IBC SOLAR, of course. (more…)

Precise adaptability for any roof

The strongest trend in photovoltaic solutions in recent months is “flexibility”. The announced investments in the creation of energy storage are called a flexible alternative for grid operators; the ultra-flexible form is synonymous with perovskites. And now also the new IBC AeroFix G3 flat roof mounting system, which the brand calls “maximum flexibility”. Let us clarify then – what is the flexibility of in this particular case? – An interview with our colleagues in Poland about IBC AeroFix G3. (more…)

IBC AeroFix G3 – The new IBC SOLAR mounting system

Our in-house mounting system IBC AeroFix has been part of IBC SOLAR for almost a decade now. From the very beginning, a lot of work, time and heart and soul went into the development. And the effort was worth it, because our mounting system for flat roofs has proven over the years what it is made of. From its stability in the strongest storms to its fast assembly. To date, the total output of the system has reached an estimated 600 MWp, primarily in the commercial segment, of course. And the trend is rising, because we are constantly developing the system further – recently with the new IBC AeroFix G3. (more…)
