Supplier portrait Jinko Solar: Driving innovation and efficiency for a sustainable future

When it comes to photovoltaic systems, one thing matters most: long-term reliability. Solar modules are the heart of every system – their quality determines both lifespan and performance. But today, it’s not just about durability: maximum efficiency is equally essential. One manufacturer that perfectly combines both aspects is Jinko Solar.

Jinko Solar is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of photovoltaic modules and was founded in 2006 in Shanghai, China. The company operates a fully vertically integrated value chain – from silicon wafers to solar cells and finished modules, Jinko Solar produces all components in-house. With a production capacity of over 130 GW of solar modules (as of the end of 2024) and a presence in more than 13 countries, Jinko Solar serves customers in over 160 countries worldwide. The company is also a leader in research and development, particularly in N-Type technologies and TOPCon cells. Sustainability plays a key role as well: Jinko Solar follows “Green Manufacturing” strategies and has been recognized multiple times in ESG rankings – evaluations based on criteria in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance. This makes Jinko Solar a perfect partner for us – a partnership we have proudly maintained since 2010.

Current PV Modules and Technologies

Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 2.0 Bifacial

The Tiger Neo series from Jinko Solar represents the cutting edge of photovoltaic technology, setting new standards in efficiency and reliability. The Tiger Neo 2.0 modules are based on N-Type TOPCon technology and deliver efficiencies of over 23%, combined with HOT 2.0 and HOT 3.0 technologies to reduce light-induced degradation (LID/LeTID). These modules are available as glass-glass variants, enhancing mechanical stability and resistance to environmental influences. With a linear performance warranty of up to 30 years and an annual degradation of only 0.4% after the first year, they are particularly attractive for long-term investments and meet current market standards. Available options include DV – white, DB – black, and BDV – bifacial transparent. Since the introduction of the NEO 2.0 series, all Jinko Solar modules in our portfolio have been equipped with the popular Stäubli EVO2A connector, globally recognized for its safety and reliability.

Looking Ahead: Tiger Neo 3.0 from 2026

Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 3.0 Bifacial

Starting in 2026, we will welcome the Tiger Neo 3.0 generation! These modules take performance to the next level: Integrating next-generation TOPCon cells with module efficiencies of up to 24.8% and significantly increased power output. Thanks to a bifacial factor of up to 85%, they deliver additional yields on reflective surfaces, while optimized temperature coefficients of –0.26%/°C ensure excellent performance even in hot climates. This series will also include white, black, and bifacial transparent variants. The first to arrive will be the white version in Q1 2026, featuring a 48-cell design, making it ideal for residential rooftops and C&I installations. Improved UV resistance, outstanding low-light performance, and a robust design for high wind and snow loads underline the durability of these modules. With product warranties of up to 25 years and a 30-year linear performance warranty, the Tiger Neo series positions itself as a premium solution for maximum energy yield and low Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE).
