That’s exactly why IBC SOLAR developed the Quick Calculator. Based on just a few details, the tool calculates an initial bill of materials, including a price estimate for the mounting system – currently for IBC AeroFix.
Quick guidance in the early project stage
The Quick Calculator supports installers when complete project planning is not yet available, but an initial estimate of material requirements and costs is already needed.
Typical applications include, for example:
- quick response to customer inquiries
- preparing initial quotes
- internal project coordination
- rough guidance for inventory and material planning
- determining the achievable system output
This gives installers an early, concise overview of which mounting components are likely to be needed and the cost range for the mounting system.
Specifically focused on the mounting system
The Quick Calculator focuses exclusively on calculating the required components of the mounting system. It does not perform electrical design or complete PV system planning.
Project-specific requirements such as
- ballasting
- structural analysis
- site-specific conditions and constraints
are also not taken into account by the tool.
For detailed technical planning and project design, professional planning tools such as the PV Manager remain the primary tools. The basic license is available free of charge in the IBC SOLAR online shop.
Designed for the daily work of installers
As a manufacturer and developer of mounting systems, we know that not every inquiry starts with a complete design. Often, a quick, clear overview is needed first to better assess the next steps.
With the Quick Calculator, we aim to make exactly this initial step easier: less effort in the early project phase, more clarity for further coordination.

The Quick Calculator is currently available for the IBC AeroFix flat roof system.
In time for Intersolar 2026, where we will be presenting our latest mounting solutions, the tool will also be available for
- IBC WallFix for facade applications and
- IBC TopFix for pitched roofs.
This means the Quick Calculator will cover all typical installation applications in everyday PV work.
