New 20 Megawatt solar park in India shortly before construction begins

A few days ago we have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a 20 MW (AC) solar plant with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project was part of a 270 MW (AC) PV tender in the state of Odisha and assigned to us through a competitive auction process during 2016. Three new major projects in Asia went into operation

Project Phalodi with 22.5 MWp in India

At the end of May, we put the photovoltaic project Phalodi with a total capacity of 22.5 MWp in India into operation. Phalodi is already our sixth project in India. In total, we have 50 MWp installed capacity in the country. In Japan, also in May we realized two new PV plants in the prefectures of Saitama and Ibaraki with a total output of 3.5 MWp. By the end of the year we will have developed, built and sold more than 25 MWp in Japan to private investors. (more…)

India is relying on the sun: our largest solar project outside of Germany is ready for takeoff

pokhran-11-mwp-india-1Shailendra Bebortha calls it a “milestone”: With the signing of the EPC contract (engineering, procurement, construction) for our major PV project near Phalodi, India, the Managing Director of our Indian subsidiary cannot only announce IBC SOLAR’s largest solar project outside of Germany to date. With the installation of 22.5 MWp we now also exceed a milestone of 50 MWp of solar capacity for third party customers in India.
