Dienstadt solar park: EPC by IBC SOLAR

With the Dienstadt solar park near Tauberbischofsheim in Baden-Württemberg, IBC SOLAR is currently implementing another large-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic project. As the EPC partner, we are responsible for the complete implementation of the project – from technical planning and procurement through to construction and turnkey handover. This means that all key stages of project implementation are managed by a single partner.

Everything from a single source

EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement and Construction. As the EPC partner, IBC SOLAR manages these key areas throughout the entire project and brings them together to deliver a turnkey solution.

For the Dienstadt solar park, this includes not only the supply of materials, but also site set-up, supervision of the implementation and final acceptance. IBC SOLAR handles communication with the customers and coordinates the necessary appointments with the responsible authorities.

The individual project phases are closely interconnected: technical planning and system design provide the basis for component procurement and subsequent construction. This allows requirements arising from both the planning process and the construction site to be taken into account at an early stage and implementation to be coordinated accordingly.

Specific requirements in Dienstadt

The conditions on site at the Dienstadt solar park demonstrate just how important this interaction is. Challenging ground conditions as well as alternating concave and convex table configurations place particular demands on planning and installation. The mounting structure and its installation must therefore be adapted to the respective terrain profile.

There are also obstacles in the ground that must be taken into account when driving the posts for the mounting structure. Another special feature is a public road that crosses the construction site and therefore needs to be incorporated into the planning and coordination of construction activities.

A total of 28,512 modules will be installed at the solar park with a module tilt angle of 20 degrees. In future, 46 inverters will convert the solar power generated.

IBC SOLAR is coordinating the implementation of the entire project through to turnkey handover. Following commissioning in November, the solar park, with a capacity of around 21 MWp, is expected to generate approximately 24 gigawatt-hours of solar power per year.
