IBC WallFix – making facades shine

While traditional PV systems on rooftops have long become standard, many building facades remain unused. Yet, especially in conditions of low-angle sunlight—during morning and evening hours or in the winter months—facade PV systems can even achieve higher yields than rooftop installations. This is exactly where our latest in-house mounting solution, the IBC WallFix, comes into play. Designed for residential homes, commercial halls, and industrial buildings, the system enables vertical installation of solar modules on almost any wall. IBC SOLAR modules convince in Fraunhofer LeTID test

We frequently report on the in-depth quality tests that our products have to undergo on a regular basis. In addition to internal tests, external institutes also put our products through their paces. In this context, the Fraunhofer Centre for Silicon Photovoltaics CSP conducted a LeTID test on our current IBC SOLAR module types at the end of last year. And this much in advance: all modules of the IBC SOLAR own brand completed the test procedure with excellent results. (more…)

A forest, a PV system and clean drinking water

Often one hears and reads about the potential of photovoltaics and how it can be used everywhere. It is a fact that PV is not only one of the most popular and cheapest types of electricity generation, but also highly flexible and often the solution for difficult situations. The latter applied to the community of Urphertshofen in Middle Franconia, Germany. Here, a photovoltaic system is used for the treatment of drinking water – in the middle of the forest. (more…)
