IBC SOLAR modules convince in Fraunhofer LeTID test

We frequently report on the in-depth quality tests that our products have to undergo on a regular basis. In addition to internal tests, external institutes also put our products through their paces. In this context, the Fraunhofer Centre for Silicon Photovoltaics CSP conducted a LeTID test on our current IBC SOLAR module types at the end of last year. And this much in advance: all modules of the IBC SOLAR own brand completed the test procedure with excellent results. (more…)

Modules in all directions

The installation of PV modules exclusively on roofs is old news. Nowadays, photovoltaics can also be used on house facades. IBC SOLAR partner my-PV recently showed how this can look visually with its new company building in Neuzeug, Austria. Wherever you look, you will see PV. The modules were provided from none other than IBC SOLAR, of course. (more…)

Nighttime Science

Science does not only take place during the day in the laboratory, but from time to time also at night. In the PV sector in particular, there are also often so-called outdoor measurements on site. For example, in addition to their work in the laboratory, the scientists at HI-ERN (Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg) also carry out these kind of measurements in the form of experiments and test series using existing PV systems in operation. As a result of current research activities in a joint German project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, two prototypes for outdoor photoluminescence measurements were recently evaluated on a wide variety of module concepts at our test facility in Bad Staffelstein.
