IBC SOLAR modules convince in Fraunhofer LeTID test

We frequently report on the in-depth quality tests that our products have to undergo on a regular basis. In addition to internal tests, external institutes also put our products through their paces. In this context, the Fraunhofer Centre for Silicon Photovoltaics CSP conducted a LeTID test on our current IBC SOLAR module types at the end of last year. And this much in advance: all modules of the IBC SOLAR own brand completed the test procedure with excellent results. (more…)

Current market trends from the perspective of solar installers, Part II

On the occasion of our 40th anniversary, we took the opportunity to conduct a market and industry survey among our Premium Partners in Germany. Because in the course of our 40-year company history, the feedback and experience of our partners was and is always very important to us. In the first blog post, we presented the first half of the survey results and reported on what homeowners and commercial customers value most today when purchasing PV systems and storage systems. The largest rooftop solar plant in Sweden

In Sweden, more precisely outside Borås, the country’s largest rooftop solar plant has recently been built. And the PV output is impressive, totaling five megawatts. The PV project was installed and planned by our Swedish partner Solkompaniet. Only IBC SOLAR’s own brands were used for the modules and mounting system, which means that IBC SOLAR‘s 15-year combination warranty also applies. (more…)

From a landfill to a biotope

When it comes to available land that could be considered for the construction of a solar park, it doesn’t always have to be a field in the middle of the countryside. In fact, many types of land, such as landfills or conversion sites, come into question. One example is the former gravel pit north of Meyenburg in Brandenburg, Germany. For years, the area was a wild dumping ground, but now the piece of land shines in new splendor: with a solar park, including extensive green maintenance measures – and flora and fauna also benefit from this to a great extent.
