IBC SOLAR Turkey commissioned PV plant for a leading Turkish textile manufacturer

Recently, our Turkish colleagues have commissioned a turn-key solar energy project with a total capacity of 1.161 MWp in Merkez near the Bulgarian border. The ground-mounted plant has already been handed over to Edirne Giyim Sanayi, a leading textile company in Turkey. The PV plant was built for the company’s own electricity consumption and can cover 70 per cent of the energy demand. (more…)

How Moroccan fishermen benefit from solar energy

Insecure, loud and sooty – these were the characteristics of the power supply for the fishing village Aftissat in the south of Morocco until about 2 years ago. Now the situation has changed fundamentally thanks to a modernisation campaign by the Moroccan fisheries authority (ONP). Our Moroccan specialist partner SEWT sarl has tackled the problem and developed a photovoltaic-based energy supply for the village. The new solar hybrid system not only provides fishermen with electricity around the clock, but is also environmentally friendly and contributes to the country’s ambitious climate protection targets. Summer School at IBC SOLAR: Our training day for students

Hands-on experience instead of dry theory – 20 students from Ansbach University of Applied Sciences and its partner universities from Kosovo, Ukraine and Nigeria spent the final day of their summer school with us in Bad Staffelstein. Using the training area of our Competence Center, we invited them to “Do it yourselves!”. And the students made use of that motto extensively. (more…)
