PV flagship project supplies solar power to tenants

In conjunction with our Premium Partner DEHM ug we planned and implemented a photovoltaic system with a total output of 20 kWp on the roof of a residential building in Weingarten (Baden-Württemberg) as part of a tenant electricity. South Africa is an attractive solar market with rapid market growth and more than 300 sunny days a year. We want to use this chance and decided to open our own regional company in South Africa. Since 2014 we have been working together exclusively with our partner maxx | solar energy (Pty) Ltd. in the South African market. Former gravel pit turned into a megawatt solar park

How is it possible to reuse a disused stone and earth open pit mine in an economically viable and environmentally friendly manner? The town of Meyenburg in the district of Prignitz (Brandenburg) which did not want to leave the land of its former gravel pit lying fallow was faced with this question. The solution: A solar park with an output of 7.45 megawatts which produces green electricity for approximately 2,400 average households per year. (mehr…)

India is relying on the sun: our largest solar project outside of Germany is ready for takeoff

pokhran-11-mwp-india-1Shailendra Bebortha calls it a “milestone”: With the signing of the EPC contract (engineering, procurement, construction) for our major PV project near Phalodi, India, the Managing Director of our Indian subsidiary cannot only announce IBC SOLAR’s largest solar project outside of Germany to date. With the installation of 22.5 MWp we now also exceed a milestone of 50 MWp of solar capacity for third party customers in India. In addition to the less efficient hand irrigation procedure which is still prevalent in many development areas, motor pumps are generally used. In India, for example, around 50 percent of arable land managed by small farmers was irrigated with motor pumps in 2012. (more…)
