In the course of climate change and developments in traffic, e-mobility is nowadays widely discussed. The fact is: e-cars emit less CO2 than conventional vehicles and can also serve as energy storage to compensate for fluctuations in renewable energies. This way e-cars can make a big contribution to the energy transition. It is no wonder that the number of electric vehicles is increasing. And this not only applies to the private sector. Also in the public sector buses with electric drive are being increasingly used. The latest example is provided by our partner BYD, which will supply the Ruhr area with a total of 22 fully electric e-buses in summer 2020.

The young generation lead the way and are sending out a statement – they are committed to climate protection and want to prevent climate change and its effects. But also within the rest of the population, the green movement is growing and people are willing to make a step towards renewable energy, like using photovoltaic. This also makes the media listen up.
IBC SOLAR founder and CEO Udo Möhrstedt visited ZDF presenter Ralph Szepanski in Frankfurt and answered questions on the TV programme “The Business Debate” (welt.de) regarding “Using photovoltaics in a clean future”. September not only gradually introduces the start of autumn. It is also the time when numerous young women and men from upper Franconia start their apprenticeship. This applies to Jennifer Will, Nils Lieber and David Meindlschmidt. Since the 2nd of September, the three are now part of the IBC SOLAR family and start their apprenticeship as industrial managers. In this respect, the trio represents the fourteenth generation of apprentices at IBC SOLAR. (more…)
Treating humans and nature with respect is the ultimate rule for Scouts. It therefore makes sense that they would also want to find out more about photovoltaics and spend a day with a leading industry expert. A young group of scouts based in upper and middle Franconia, Germany grabbed this opportunity with both hands. As part of their theme day “climate”, the young adults visited our competence center in Bad Staffelstein. In addition to an insight into the company’s history, the main focus was of course on solar energy. What shouldn’t be missing in all this theory? Putting it into practice of course!(more…)
