Three new major projects in Asia went into operation

Project Phalodi with 22.5 MWp in India

At the end of May, we put the photovoltaic project Phalodi with a total capacity of 22.5 MWp in India into operation. Phalodi is already our sixth project in India. In total, we have 50 MWp installed capacity in the country. In Japan, also in May we realized two new PV plants in the prefectures of Saitama and Ibaraki with a total output of 3.5 MWp. By the end of the year we will have developed, built and sold more than 25 MWp in Japan to private investors. (more…)

PV flagship project supplies solar power to tenants

In conjunction with our Premium Partner DEHM ug we planned and implemented a photovoltaic system with a total output of 20 kWp on the roof of a residential building in Weingarten (Baden-Württemberg) as part of a tenant electricity. The operator and investor of the system is Technische Werke Schussental GmbH & Co. KG (TWS) from Ravensburg. (more…)

New major project in Turkey connected to the grid

1.1 MWp in province of Eskişehir

We reported on the busy weeks of our Turkish regional company IBC SOLAR Turkey last summer. This included five major projects being implemented simultaneously. The first projects have now been connected to the grid; including a 1.1 MWp project in the province of Eskişehir. We are expecting a PV expansion of between 1 and 1.5 GW for the entire Turkish market in 2017 – despite the bureaucratic hurdles for project development. (mehr…)

Former gravel pit turned into a megawatt solar park

How is it possible to reuse a disused stone and earth open pit mine in an economically viable and environmentally friendly manner? The town of Meyenburg in the district of Prignitz (Brandenburg) which did not want to leave the land of its former gravel pit lying fallow was faced with this question. The solution: A solar park with an output of 7.45 megawatts which produces green electricity for approximately 2,400 average households per year. (mehr…)

Cooling with solar power: IBC SOLAR supplies PV system for the largest freezer in Norway

WP_20160418_11_33_02_ProCold stores require a great deal of energy – mainly when the sun is shining and it is warm outside. The leading Norwegian food logistics provider ASKO has Installed a PV system on the roof of a cold store in Vestby. The system was implemented by Solenergi FUSen AS, the Norwegian Premium Partner of IBC SOLAR. It enhances a current system which was put into operation on the roof of an ASKO dry fuel storage facility in 2014.  The entire system has a capacity of 1 megawatt peak (MWp), producing around 550 MWh of solar power each year which the company will use entirely for its own consumption.(more…)
