Practising for emergencies

Solar parks are often surrounded by forests. In view of rising temperatures and prolonged drought, the risk of forest fires also increases here in the warm months. Accordingly, one must be well prepared for an emergency. Together with our O&M customer CEE Group, we wanted to know how quickly the fire brigade would get to the solar park in such an emergency, how they could enter the plant, which safety criteria were observed and how the fire brigade generally deals with solar parks in an emergency. New major project in Turkey connected to the grid

1.1 MWp in province of Eskişehir

We reported on the busy weeks of our Turkish regional company IBC SOLAR Turkey last summer. This included five major projects being implemented simultaneously. The first projects have now been connected to the grid; including a 1.1 MWp project in the province of Eskişehir. We are expecting a PV expansion of between 1 and 1.5 GW for the entire Turkish market in 2017 – despite the bureaucratic hurdles for project development. (mehr…)
