Blog series: PV at IBC SOLAR, Part III: Wallboxes, charging columns and electric cars

Also in the new year, there is a lot going on around and at IBC SOLAR. In this regard we are also continuing our blog series about our IBC SOLAR home system. While part 1 dealt with a rough overview of the entire system, the second part focused specifically on the installed storage system. We already reported that, especially with regard to our storage cluster, the constantly growing electric fleet of IBC SOLAR is a big factor. We also report on how we at IBC SOLAR are dealing with the greatly changing mobility of the future. (more…)

Blog series: PV at IBC SOLAR, Part II: The storage system and its applications

Since the founding of IBC SOLAR, we have of course not only equipped our customers with complete PV systems, but also invested in our own in-house system. And that has grown steadily over the years. Part 1 of the blog series on photovoltaics at IBC SOLAR was dedicated to a rough overview of the entire system and our motivation. Part 2 now takes a first detailed look at a specific section of our system: the cluster of battery inverters and battery storage. It consists of a total of six Victron Quattro 48/10000 as well as five BYD Battery-Box Pro 13.8. The storage units are thus low-voltage storage units, resulting in a total usable capacity of 69 kWh. The storage system at IBC SOLAR headquarters has now been providing its services for more than two years and supports us on a daily basis in various applications. (more…)

Blog series: PV at IBC SOLAR, part I: The components

No wonder, because with almost 250 employees at the Bad Staffelstein headquarters alone, the demand for electricity is correspondingly high. In addition, PV can do a lot, and this comes to the fore with IBC SOLAR’s home system. In a multi-part series, we now provide an insight into the complex PV system: from the components to the development to the complex topics of energy management system (EMS) and e-mobility. (more…)

Full power with PV

E-mobility is the future. Latest figures clearly confirm this trend. The number of newly registered electric vehicles is increasing from year to year. In order to make this concept work, however, a good charging infrastructure is required in addition to the e-vehicles. The Dresen car dealership from Korschenbroich in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany also wanted to make this accessible to its customers and employees, but the corresponding network connection capacity was lacking. The solution resulted in a comprehensive and individual overall PV system. (more…)
