Supplier profile: GoodWe – largest manufacturer of hybrid inverter

In our blog series, we regularly present profiles of IBC SOLAR’s partners. Since this year, GoodWe has also been part of the series. Founded in 2010, the company has developed to a leading expert in research and manufacture of PV inverters and energy storage solutions. Over the last ten years, GoodWe has achieved many successes and received numerous awards. The highlight so far was announced in spring 2020, when Wood Mackenzie named the company the number one  global supplier of hybrid inverters. We at IBC SOLAR have had the products of the Chinese manufacturer in our portfolio since July of this year and are very pleased to have this innovative partner at our side.  (more…)

Modules & mounting systems: The right combination matters

Module damage on the roof is unquestionably annoying and can quickly become stressful. It is small consolation when the product guarantees are still effective and one can in theory call the manufacturers to get everything done. It actually sounds pretty simple. Unfortunately, practice shows that the manufacturers of the various components sometimes do not agree which guarantees should apply to which product. Discussions are inevitable in these situations. Hybrid inverters conquer the market

Everyone is currently talking about hybrid inverters, i.e. the combination of photovoltaic and battery inverters. No wonder, because they offer decisive advantages. These devices are particularly efficient, flexible and combine two essential products of a photovoltaic system –   the inverter and the solar battery. Conversely, for the user this means that both space and costs are saved and, of course, less installation work is required. Another plus point of these combination devices is the possibility of a back-up function in case of an emergency. (more…)
