Blog Series: Our IBC AeroFix in a long-term test_part 1

Flat roofs are particularly well suited for the installation of PV systems. There is no question about that. Especially if a lot of PV power is required. But in times of recurring storms and hurricanes, these systems have to withstand a lot. Our in-house and well known mounting system IBC AeroFix has already proven several times in the past that it can withstand the strongest storms. But how exactly does our AeroFix system perform in these extreme situations? We wanted to know more about this and therefore started a video and sensor monitoring for a period of 10 years. More efficient and sustainable homes thanks to PV

Unlike other countries, where residential self-consumption has been undergoing significant development for years, Spain was practically untouched until RD244/2019 came into force. Since then, and after a slow but continued adaptation on the part of all the agents involved, the residential market has been immersed in exponential growth since the end of 2019 to the present day. Spain has great potential and positive prospects thanks to the high availability of homes suitable for photovoltaic installations. In this regard, IBC SOLAR continues to actively contributing to energy change by supporting the creation of more efficient and sustainable homes. (more…)

The Enphase system in the IBC SOLAR test_part II

Fast, simple and uncomplicated. All this applies to the Enphase system. In our first article “The Enphase System in the IBC SOLAR Test_Part I“, we told you all about the basics and the components installed in our Enphase test system. Because we wanted to find out what makes the system so special and how the setup, commissioning and operation of an Enphase PV system with the new Encharge storage system works. For this purpose, an IBC SOLAR colleague’s string system was converted to an Enphase system in a test setup, including the new Encharge storage. However, the simplicity of the system was one of the main reasons for IBC SOLAR to add it to the portfolio at the end of April.
