New major project in Turkey connected to the grid

1.1 MWp in province of Eskişehir

We reported on the busy weeks of our Turkish regional company IBC SOLAR Turkey last summer. This included five major projects being implemented simultaneously. The first projects have now been connected to the grid; including a 1.1 MWp project in the province of Eskişehir. We are expecting a PV expansion of between 1 and 1.5 GW for the entire Turkish market in 2017 – despite the bureaucratic hurdles for project development. (mehr…)

South Africa is an attractive solar market with rapid market growth and more than 300 sunny days a year. We want to use this chance and decided to open our own regional company in South Africa. Since 2014 we have been working together exclusively with our partner maxx | solar energy (Pty) Ltd. in the South African market. Former gravel pit turned into a megawatt solar park

How is it possible to reuse a disused stone and earth open pit mine in an economically viable and environmentally friendly manner? The town of Meyenburg in the district of Prignitz (Brandenburg) which did not want to leave the land of its former gravel pit lying fallow was faced with this question. The solution: A solar park with an output of 7.45 megawatts which produces green electricity for approximately 2,400 average households per year. (mehr…)

Flat roofs (generally with up to 10 degrees inclination and building heights of up to 25 m) are particularly well-suited to the installation of a PV system – above all when there should be a lot of PV capacity on the roof. (mehr…)
