Training for installers on non-ballast structures at IBC SOLAR Polska

Since March 2021, over 30 people have already participated in free workshops organized by IBC SOLAR Polska in cooperation with CW Lundberg, a producer of complete roof protection systems. During one-day training, participants have the opportunity to learn about a modern solution for flat roof installations, developed jointly by both companies, using a non-invasive and ballast-free mounting system. Solar drinking water supply in Hanoi

Every now and then we report on the versatility of photovoltaics. It is used for different purposes all over the world. In Hanoi (Vietnam), for example, green solar power has been providing solar treatment of drinking water since the beginning of the year. There, our international project division, IBC SOLAR Energy, constructed a 2.7 MWp PV system for the water treatment plant of the AquaOne Group. (more…)

The world of Fronius – more than just PV and hybrid inverters

The Austrian manufacturer Fronius now offers a wide variety of different inverters. In addition, a new hybrid inverter, the Fronius Symo Gen24 Plus, was introduced in 2020 to complement the Symo Hybrid and cover the range between 5 and 10 kWp. Nighttime Science

Science does not only take place during the day in the laboratory, but from time to time also at night. In the PV sector in particular, there are also often so-called outdoor measurements on site. For example, in addition to their work in the laboratory, the scientists at HI-ERN (Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg) also carry out these kind of measurements in the form of experiments and test series using existing PV systems in operation. As a result of current research activities in a joint German project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, two prototypes for outdoor photoluminescence measurements were recently evaluated on a wide variety of module concepts at our test facility in Bad Staffelstein.
