How much energy does a photovoltaic system take to produce? What is its carbon footprint? These questions come up again and again in discussions about the energy transition and the expansion of renewables. New 20 Megawatt solar park in India shortly before construction begins

A few days ago we have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a 20 MW (AC) solar plant with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project was part of a 270 MW (AC) PV tender in the state of Odisha and assigned to us through a competitive auction process during 2016. Another large-scale project went into operation in Turkey

3.43 MWp in the province of Niğde

Our Turkish regional company has completed another large-scale solar plant with a total capacity of 3.43 MWp in the province of Niğde. This is the third major project IBC SOLAR Turkey has been realised since the beginning of the year as EPC project. The plant will produce 6 million kilowatt hours of solar power per year for grid feed-in and prevent the release of around 4.000 tons of CO2. (more…)
